Project Manager CV: what to show and how to phrase it
A project manager's CV is judged on delivery: what you delivered, at what scale, against what constraints. Methodology and certifications help you get through the filter; outcomes get you the interview.

What recruiters look for
- Scale — budget, team size, number of stakeholders or workstreams
- Delivery against time, cost and scope, and what you did when one slipped
- The methodology you actually used (Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2, hybrid) and where
- Stakeholder management at the level the role needs — team, department or executive
Turning duties into evidence
Patterns, not examples to copy — fill the [brackets] with your own facts, and leave out anything you cannot back up in an interview.

Tracking systems and recruiters scan for the job ad’s own words. Use the exact phrasing from the ad you are applying to; these are common for project manager roles.

Common mistakes
- Listing every project with the same three duties instead of your biggest three with outcomes
- Naming methodologies without saying where you applied them
- Leaving out budget or team size, which is how a recruiter judges seniority
For Irish applications
- Public sector roles often ask you to evidence named competencies — mirror their wording in your examples.
- State whether you hold PMP or PRINCE2 in the certifications section, with the year.
